HR Conclave: ‘Synergizing Human Capital Potential’

Datta Meghe Institute of Management Studies in collaboration with National Institute of Personnel Management (NIPM) organized HR Summit 2016 on the Theme ‘Synergizing Human Capital Potential’ on 26th & 27th Feb.2016. Event brought the experts from academia and industry at a single platform. Presentation from different categories like Public, Private, Service, Academic and IT for ‘Showcasing CSR Activities’. Total 14 companies have participated in CSR presentation. Day-2 started with Inaugural address Shri Rajiv Ranjan Mishra, CMD-WCL. Shri. Dattaji Meghe (Ex. MP) graced the occasion and in his presidential address, emphasized on the importance of CSR for the overall development of the society. Dr. Vikrant Singh Tomar, Guest of Honour, delivered the Key Note address on ‘HR Principles from great epics Ramayana and Mahabharata’. It was followed by Panel discussions on Synergizing Human Capital Potential. The panelist included HR Heads from organizations like Future Group, TAL, VIP Industries, Videocon, Kone Elevators, Endurance Technology etc. Event concluded with the CSR award ceremony.The event was an Altar of discussions, deliberation and knowledge exchange.

Lunchbox Legend –The Dabbawalas of Mumbai @DMIMS

DMIMS under the aegis of ED Cell hosted a seminar on“Lunchbox Legend: The Dabbawalas of Mumbai @ DMIMS” at Vasantrao Deshpande Hall. The program started with the entry of the speakers- Subash Talekar & Arvind Talekar on bicycle in a traditional dabbawala style. Both the speakers shared the journey of Mumbai Dabbawalas from its inception in 1890 till date. The Dabbawala representatives were invited in IIMs, IITs and also in various prominent industries in India and throughout the world. The speakers enthralled the audience comprising of 900 students and 200 industry representatives with 75 academic leaders.
